We are excited to provide you with additional tool to manage access permissions in your tenant. The extended permission management framework allows you to grant access rights for the employee user groups in relation to particular site(s) available in your setup. This functionality enhances security of data and provides a clear separation of responsibilities for the business users. The business users benefit from the enhanced user experience and daily operations as the views are not cluttered with the data they do not need.
The site permissions can be applied on the entities that are restriction-aware and these are companies (legal entities), customers, carts, orders, and quotes. Access to these entities can be limited for the employee groups based on the associated sites. Not only that, you are able to introduce custom restriction values on these entities, and adjust the storefront accordingly to assign the restrictions automatically.
