Classification Categories — Structured Product Attributes

We’re excited to share the new Classification Categories feature - this update lets you define reusable classification schemas that group relevant attributes together and apply them consistently across categories and products.

When a classification category is linked to a product, the attributes from your schema appear in a dedicated Classification tab in the product view — keeping structured data clearly separated and easy to manage.

:rocket: What this means for you

  • Consistent data modeling – Reuse structured attribute sets across multiple products and categories.
  • Cleaner product UI – Attributes defined in your schema appear in a dedicated Classification tab.
  • Better governance – Centralize attribute definitions instead of redefining them per product.
  • Version transparency – Easily see which mixin schema version is linked to a classification category.
  • Controlled updates – Get notified when a newer schema version is available and migrate when you’re ready.

With the new mixin schema version visibility, you can quickly identify outdated schemas and keep your classification structure aligned with the latest definitions.

:hammer_and_wrench: How to get started in Management Dashboard?

  1. Prepare your mixin schema in Settings → Mixin Schema or upload it as JSON.
  2. Go to Categories → Classification and create a new classification category.
  3. Link your mixin schema during setup.
  4. Assign the classification category to products in the Products view.
  5. Monitor schema versions and migrate when a newer version becomes available.
